My Journey to SSB Recommendation: How NFA Shaped My Success

SSB recommended candidate Ankit kumar sharma

As an aspiring Defence officer, I, Ankit Kumar Sharma, always dreamed of serving my nation. Today, I’m thrilled to share my success story of getting recommended in my very first SSB attempt. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the guidance and support I received from No Frills Academy (NFA), led by the esteemed Retd. Col. MM Nehru.

My SSB Experience: From day one at the Selection Board, I felt a surge of confidence. The regular sessions at NFA had prepared me thoroughly for every aspect of the selection process. The psychological tests, group discussions, and personal interviews – nothing seemed overwhelming.

One resource that proved invaluable was Col Nehru Sir’s book, “The Practical Guide to Become an Officer.” It was my go-to guide for the psychological tests, GD, and GPE. The book’s emphasis on developing an “Abundance” mentality was a game-changer for me.

The personal interactions with Col Nehru Sir were equally crucial. He helped me identify and work on my weaknesses, clearing all my doubts about the preparation. This personalized guidance played a significant role in my success during the SSB interview.

My NFA Journey: Joining NFA was a turning point in my preparation. The academy brought structure to my routine and provided a platform for continuous improvement. The daily sessions were intensive yet enjoyable, focusing on various aspects of personality development.

The regular practice of Situation Reaction Test (SRT) and other psychological tests at NFA boosted my confidence significantly. The weekly GTO sessions were particularly helpful, equipping me with innovative ideas to tackle GTO tasks at SSB.

Col Nehru Sir’s advice on physical fitness was spot on. Following his guidance, I worked on my strength and stamina, which helped me breeze through the Individual Obstacle and Group Obstacle Race at SSB.

NFA’s Individual Guidance Programme: What sets NFA apart is its Individual Guidance Programme. Under Col Nehru Sir’s direct mentorship, I received personalised feedback and tailored strategies to overcome my weaknesses. This one-on-one attention made a world of difference in my preparation.

To all aspiring officers out there, I highly recommend NFA’s Individual Guidance Programme. It’s not just about cracking the SSB; it’s about holistic personality development that prepares you for a life of service and leadership.

Thank you, Col Nehru Sir and NFA, for believing in me and guiding me towards my dream.

Jai Hind!
