How India Could Be?
I am an educationist. I am forced to do a lot of writing on politics and economics to avert misguidance of my students through misinformation created by the Indian government and Godi media. The efforts have been reasonably effective because none of my students believe the fraud propaganda themes like “Vishwa Guru”, “Vishwa mein danka” and that the Indian economy is doing great, unlike 90% of my class/course mates. Students keep asking me solutions to the political/economic/security problems. I have taken OP SINDOOR, one of the most interesting topics in contemporary India to explain as to how things could have been and how India could be a progressive society.
Eligibility Criteria for MPs/MLAs
Noticing the ill influence of money and crime in politics, Indian society would have decided in 1980s to revise the criteria for people standing for elections as MPs/MLAs. The salient features would have been:
1. Education. The minimum acceptable qualification would be graduate. Apart from that passing a very strict examination would have been mandatory to check the knowledge of Hindi, English and law.
2. Criminals. Criminals would be ineligible.
3. Conduct in Parliament. An ethics committee would remove incompetent, liars and unethical MPs/MLAs every 6 months.
Impact?
The impact of these policies would have been that, persons like Modi, Shah, Yogi and Brij Bhushan would have been ineligible. People like Anurag, Nishikant Dubey, Surya would have been removed for telling lies. People like Rekha, Sachin (Bharat Ratna), Gogoi and Kangana would have been removed for incompetence.
Debate on OP SINDOOR
The PM would have called a special session of the Parliament immediately on conclusion of OP SINDOOR (an ethical PM would not have fed the trash to the public that the operation is still on). The CDS would have been invited to the Parliament.
The CDS would have presented the entire details of the operation, the gains, the losses and the lessons learnt. The salient points would have been:
1. The aim of OP SINDOOR given by the government to strike the nine terrorist camps was okay.
2. The term of reference imposed, NOT TO TARGET ANY MILITARY TARGET was wrong. SUCH A TERM OF REFERENCE MUST NEVER BE IMPOSED BY ANY GOVERNMENT.
3. India is NOT IN A POSITION TO FIGHT A CHINA-PAKISTAN COMBINED ENEMY WITH THE PRESENT STATE OF WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT.
4. India must INCREASE, UPGRADE AND INDIGENISE THE WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT ON PRIORITY.
5. A COMMITTEE SHOULD BE ESTABLISHED IMMEDIATELY AND SUBMIT A REPORT ON RESTRUCTURING OF THE DEFENSE SERVICES BY DEC 2025.
The Defense Minister would have endorsed the points of the CDS. He would have made the following salient points:
- Accepted the mistake of imposing the term of reference upon the Defense Services.
2. Recommended that the OP SINDOOR review report should be submitted by Dec, so that suitable budget allocation could be made timely.
3. Recommended that the proposals made by the OP SINDOOR Review Committee should be implemented in TOTALITY IN A MATTER OF TEN YEARS.
After stating his points, the Defense Minister would have resigned taking moral responsibility for TYING THE HANDS OF THE DEFENSE SERVICES.
The Home Minister would have stated the following:
1. Accepted his responsibility of intelligence failure in allowing the Pahalgam tragedy to occur.
2. Accepted his responsibility in allowing the terrorists to reach the target area undeterred.
3. Accepted his responsibility in the delay in the mobilization of medical help and security forces to kill/apprehend the four terrorists immediately or at least within one week.
4. He would have promised that such a failure would never recur on Indian soil.
After stating his points, the Home Minister would have resigned taking moral responsibility for the lapses.
The Prime Minister would have apologized to the nation, for allowing the Pahalgam tragedy to occur and allowing Trump to mediate the ceasefire, which was unacceptable in keeping with the ethos of the sovereignty and self-respect of India. He would have then announced the collective resignation of the entire cabinet and recommended the formation of a new cabinet/re-election for the Lok Sabha.
The Parliament would have accepted the proposals. The OP SINDOOR Review Committee would have been formed within two days and would have begun work right away. A new cabinet would have been formed by Jun/Jul 2025.
